We had such a memorable Halloween this year. At about 10am the boys asked when it was going to get dark so they could go trick or treating...I told them that they were in store for a real treat! In Corvallis, trick or treating starts at 1pm! WHAT?!? Every year, the school district plans student/teacher conferences during this time so the kids always have Halloween off of school. Trick or treating starts in Downtown Corvallis at 1pm where all the storefronts hand out candy , then the downtown library has a Halloween Carnival in its parking lot beginning at 4pm. We barely made it home by 5:30pm to scarf down dinner before heading out around our neighborhood with some of our Hoover friends. This penguin and vampire were flabbergasted at such an awesome progressive party!
Year 2 of the very-loved penguin costume. He almost was going to be a construction worker, but switched back to his favorite at the last minute.
Beau announced Nov. 1 of last year that he would be a vampire this year--and never wavered. Very well executed idea, I must say.
Of course, Daddy and Mommy didn't want to miss out on the fun either! Here we are in our captain/sailor girl outfits before attending a Halloween party in Portland.
The boys got to stay home and play with Grammy Barb and Papa Dan. Fun!
The day after Halloween proved to be an endless day of sorting, color coding, trading and rationing (by me). What a loot!
