Moving Day!

Moving day was such extremes for all of us--extreme stress for the parents and such extreme awe and excitement for the boys!  Funny how that works and a reminder to us all to stop and see life through a child's eyes.  A HUGE orange truck pulled up to our house at 7:30am and the boys were speechless...

Not only did they marvel at the size, but also at the 3 entry doors (2 on the sides and 1 in the rear), and the very fun ramp that led up to the doors.  (Even our neighbor was shocked at the size of the truck and came to quiz the driver about the size).  We talked nonstop about the truck--it's size, color and where it could be on the highway.  All along our road trip up 1-5, we looked for a huge, orange truck with "Allied" written on the side...and, in fact, we still keep an eye out for it when we're driving along the highway...:)

Such big helpers!  Notice their hoods are on, as it was about the first rainy day in about 6 weeks...such luck.  :(

We had an extensive labeling and packing system--am excel spreadsheet complete with search functionality.  Beau was proud that he packed and labeled "C8" in the background.  Beau was also thrilled that his pants matched the color of the truck.

We've arrived in Corvallis!  After exploring our "pretend new house" (read: rental), the boys take a snack break out on our new, sunny porch.

The new living room is great for stretching out!

Even Stella is having fun in Oregon!
