We remembered 9/11 this year by decorating and delivering cookies to our local fire station. The kids had so much fun coloring their sign and decorating the cookies.

The firefighters were very appreciative and came out to greet all of us (we took Grandma and Grandpa with us too!), and even offered us a tour of the station.
They even let the kids into the BIG ladder truck which was very cool since they had just seen that truck on our street putting out a house fire the week before. On our way out we passed the break room and saw the cookies already half eaten! A memorable day, indeed.
