First impressions of Corvallis

Just days after arriving, Brent celebrated his 38th birthday...by starting his new job that day!  While it may not go down as the best way to spend a birthday, it did allow for no lapse in medical insurance--thanks for taking one for the team, Daddy!  Here's a yummy cake to show our support and how much we love you!

Uncle Brad came down a few days later to help us--er, organize?--the garage.  It actually looked worse than this for the first week.  We call looking for specific boxes our "treasure hunt."  Uncle Brad helped us find some treasures too--thank you Brad!  Good thing our rental has a 2-car garage...

The other side...

Even though it was February, Heath spent every morning out here on the porch--usually in his jammies--lining up his cars.  Clearly he considers this the best feature of our pretend new house.

This happens rain or shine--if it's too cold, he adds a hat and gloves.

We are loving the cul-de-sac feature.  I looked out the window to see this circling our house.
Too cute!

The entire moving experience has left such a positive impression with the boys.  After unpacking the LEGO bricks, the first thing they made were dollies--to move little things.  First impressions of Corvallis = Great!
